Nice review, it's a pity that the net connection doesn’t work internationally. But i heard they are working hard on it. By the way I have also found a nice review of the kindle reader I thought it was worth sharing

Leo, good questions!

The wireless connection for the Kindle 2 and Kindle DX unfortunately only works in the United States. This is because it uses the data network from a US company called “Sprint”. You can still use your Kindle to read books, magazines, and newspapers, but you’ll have to first download these to your computer and then use a USB cable to transfer them to your Kindle. Reading emails wouldn’t make much sense because there’d be no wireless internet access.

There’s plenty of websites besides Amazon to download ebooks from, you can start by clicking “Free Ebook Downloads” in the menu at the top-left.
If you’re looking for other languages, I’d recommend Googling “Arabic ebooks” (as an example).

dear, i am living in jordan. can i use kindle 2 in jordan? can i use it for reading emails ? can i download ebooks from the internet besides those in amazon.com? Are there any books in other languages. thank you

I’m a student and have been thinking of getting a Kindle, but I’m not sure which one would be best for me. I’m leaning towards the Kindle 2 as it’s more portable than the Kindle DX (I can just throw it in my back pack). Any recommendations?
